The Bacewicz Trio was formed in 2016 at Grażyna Bacewicz Secondary Music School in Koszalin. The Trio consists of violinist Wiktor Dziedzic, pianist Gabriela Bortnowska and cellist Konstancja Śmietańska. They come from families with musical traditions. As the trio says "It's a pure joy playing together!", thanks to the fact that they have known each other from a very young age.
In 2017 Trio was awarded 1st prize at the IV International Chamber Tournament in Bydgoszcz. All of the members are winners of prestigious national and international competitions. Recently Wiktor and Gabriela received Scholarship from The Minister of Culture and The National Heritage of Poland and Konstancja was awarded 2nd prize at International String Competition in Elbląg.
They all performed solo numerous times with top national orchestras such as Koszalin Philharmonic, Philharmonic of Podkarpacie in Rzeszów and Philharmonic of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. Since the formation of the group The Bacewicz Trio received tuition from such distinguished professors as Natan Dondalski and Ewa Guzowska.
