Their sound is defined by Mason's acoustic guitar, supplemented by the fragile tones of Tereza’s electric guitar, enriched with samples and synthetic sounds. The melancholic English texts represent the personal confession of both band members. Although they met in high school, the project came into existence in the spring of 2015 in Pilsen. During the first year of its existence, it gained respect from the local independent scene, and in 2016 they created their debut album Albatross . Apart from their own concerts, the band has also been playing with bands like the Republic of Two, Luno or even the foreign Oh Wonder.

“The duo Teepe offers crystalline dream-like pop, blurring the lines between electronics and songwriting. From the first note there is an obvious inspiration by British electronic acts, and songwriters such as The xx or Bat For Lashes. This is how we imagine an ideal sound that could be appealing to showcase festivals. The emotions that Teepee share with us are universally applicable and understandable,” Radio Wave’s music editors said.

The band added: "I believe that a good concert leaves you with a certain sensation. It could be anger, excitement or sadness, but it for sure means that you were touched by the music somehow."
