Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra Director
For six years (2000–2006) Jakub Čížek worked as chief producer of Prague Autumn International Music Festival, where he also engaged partly in dramaturgy, marketing & public relations. At the time plenty of significant foreign orchestras were invited to Prague: La Scala Orchestra from Milano with Riccardo Muti, Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra with Valerij Gergijev, Bamberg Symhony with Jonathan Nott, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra with Mark Janowski, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra with Jurij Simonov, BBC Philharmonic with Gianandrea Noseda, Budapest Festival Orchestra with Iván Fischer, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra with Krzysztof Penderecki and many world-famous soloists. In 2001 he organized European tour of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra.
After that he was in charge of the Mechanical Rights and Audiovisual Department of the Czech collective rights management society “OSA”, where he dealt with licensing of publishers of music CDs and DVDs.
In 2008 he joined Czech Radio. For a few years he was Head of the International Relations Department, which also deals with Euroradio international music exchange. He was then Director of the Communications and External Relations Department and Czech Radio spokesperson. Since 2014 he was the Chief Producer of Music Production responsible for more than 400 radio musical productions mainly from the field of classical and jazz music.
Since 1st July 2015 he holds the post of Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra of Czech Radio.
