Communications, Marketing and Commerce Director
In 2002 he graduated in Czech language and literature at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University Prague. After his studies he worked for several years in the area of news reports at the Czech News Agency (CTK).
As a journalist he worked also as editor at the Mladá fronta Dnes journal.
He began to concern himself intensively with public relations when he worked as the spokesperson of Hradec Králové region. He was mainly responsible for external communication, developing relations with journalists and also for marketing activities. In the field of European projects he was involved in creating communications and marketing strategies for the public administration realm.
Before joining Czech Radio he was a manager at the AMI Communications agency. He specialized primarily in corporate and crisis communication, new media and online solutions. He was responsible for PR activities of significant trading companies such as Veolia or Unilever.
He joined Czech Radio on 1st October 2014 as its spokesperson. Since March 1st 2016 Jiří Hošna holds the post of Director for Communications and External Relations.
