Born in 1974 in Třebíč.
He graduated from the Třebíč Academic Secondary School in 1993 and obtained his university diploma in Czech philology and history at the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University Olomouc. After completing his compulsory military service, Ondřej worked as a teacher at the Šířava Vocational Secondary School in Přerov and the Třebíč Business Secondary School. He joined Czech Radio in 2002, working as the editor-in-chief and later the director of the then newly established station for the Vysočina Region, the Český rozhlas Region.
On 1 May 2012, Ondřej was appointed director of the Czech Radio Broadcast Centre, before moving on to the post of the editor-in-chief of the Český rozhlas Plus station. Currently, he serves as the Programming Director.
Ondřej is married and has two children. Spending time with them is his greatest hobby, but he also enjoys running, cycling, gardening and studying history.
