1 million 768 thousand Listeners of Czech Radio Stations
The Czech Radio listeners´ number has increased over the last period. According to the results of the survey Radio Projekt, for the period of 1 October 2008 - 31 March 2009, the daily and weekly listenership of Czech Radio has increased and its share on the market has reached 23,0%.
During the common day, 1 million 768 thousand of listeners within the age of 12 - 79 years have listened to one of the Czech Radio stations, with up to 2 million 720 thousand over the weekend interval. These results have been the best that we have received over the three-year period of the survey Radio Projekt. Even though some of the stations have lost some of their listeners, in the overall summation the positive result is mirrored in both the listenership of nationwide stations as well as regional stations. According to PhDr. Václav Hradecký, the Head of the Research and Analytics at Czech Radio, "The highest share comes from Czech Radio 1 - Radiožurnál, which saw an increase in its listenership with 55 thousand during the common day and 52 thousand during the weekly listening."
