One of the greatest Czech compositions, Suk’s The Ripening, which is so demanding that it is rarely performed, and Ondřej Kukal’s Army of a Madman, which was compared with the work of Suk when it premiered, shared the programme at a season ticket holders’ evening that the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra was putting on at the end of April.

Tomáš Hanus conducted and Roman Janál performed the baritone solo, while the ladies of the Hanus TomášKühn Choir led by choirmaster Marek Vorlíček also appeared.
