Czech Radio Online and Artevide Foundation announces XIV. volume of International art competition for children Drawing online: Journeys of discovery and adventure
This year PUBLIC AWARD for the first time!

Drawing 2009

Competition conditions: 

1. competitors: children 6 - 14 years old
2. topic: Journeys of discovery and adventure
Which invention is really important for mankind? Do you have any favourite traveller or discoverer? Which invention helps the mankind most? In which ways could be our world better in the future?
3. form:
a) drawing: 210 × 297 mm (A4) or smaller
b) handcraft: (burnt clay, wood, metal etc.)
* technique: arbitrary, we do not recommend chalk drawing (for practical reasons)
* the reverse page has to contain the following data:
- individuals: name, age, address, phone number and artwork name
- schools and hobby clubs: name, address and phone number of the organization, age of children, teacher´s name, artwork name
- you can also attach a short description of your artwork (however, the text will not be evaluated by the art commitee)
c) computer graphics and animations
* computer graphics:
- jpg, tiff, resolution max.: 1280 x 1024 px
- send burnt on CD or DVD including 2 - 3 screenshots of work progress, or printed on paper 210 × 297 mm (A4), or via e-amil - max. picture size 5MB
* 2D / 3D animations
- formats: preferably flv, or swf, avi, mov, resolution max.: 800 x 600 px
- send burnt on CD or DVD including 2 - 3 screenshots of work progress
* evaluation criteria: idea, conception, technical realization
4. maximum number of artworks: two by each author

Artworks need to arrive before 31. 3. 2009 to the following address:
Czech Radio Online, Vinohradská 12, 120 99 Praha 2, motto: Journeys of discovery and adventure. Artworks will not be returned and their copyright belongs to Czech Radio. 

Artworks will be assessed in two rounds by the commitee composed of famous celebrities from the Czech Republic. The winning artworks will be exhibited both as an original and in a digital form on the Czech Radio webpage. 

Public Award: This year you have for the first time the opportunity to choose from the exhibited artworks your favourite!
Voting will be placed on www.rozhlas.cz/drawing in May.
