Open day of an Exhibition 'Drawing on-line: Music and me'

On Monday June 11th, children from all across the Czech Republic came to the Museum of the Capital of Prague to visit the varnished exposition of the works received during the international drawing competition 'Drawing on-line: Music and me' The exposition shows about three hundred works from the whole of four thousand received. To ease the children's waiting for the opening, we prepared a little show for them in front of the museum. They took their presents and then took part at the exhibition starting at three pm.

Pavel Šprocl played his violin nicely, members of the wise jury greeted the children and praised all the assessed works. The absolute winners were announced and, moreover, they received one more present from part-taking personalities of Czech cultural life, from the competition organizers - Czech Radio Online and the Postal bank - and from sponsors as well. 

Jan Pokorný, the constant supporter of the competition, moderated the exhibition. At the end, we prepared a small refreshment for the children and a beautiful cake decorated by the copy of a competing picture from India made on an consumable paper! 

We received works from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, India, Indonesia, China and Africa this year! 

The exhibition lasts till July 15th and includes creative workshops, where you can try prepared creative techniques under the supervision of an artist Olga Bělohorská. So do not hesitate and come to visit the museum for sure! 

The presents will be sent to the winners from foreign countries. 

New competition volume will be announced on our web pages in January 2008.
