January 2 Ukrainian youngster Sasha flew to the north, crossed the equator and stopped in northern Kenya on the outskirts of the Lorian wetland. Judita proceeded slowly to the south, finding herself in south-western Tanzania. Arnost was staying in Arjuzanx.
January 14 Judita proceeded to the south, having flown more than 800 kilometres in January alone. She crossed Tanzania and a substantial part of Zambia. Sasha move just a few hundred kilometres to the north, and had been staying in a new place in northern Kenya for a few days.
