Připravte na festival australského filmu / It is time to get ready for the Aussie Film Festival

Minulý týden jsme upozornili na francouzský filmový festival, který probíhá od 18. do 25. listopadu, ale dnes se podíváme na další festival. Festival, který možná bude trochu vzhůru nohama. Australský filmový festival. Tři milovnice Austrálie a kvalitních filmů se rozhodly, že přivezou do Prahy a Bratislavy od protinožců jejich nejlepší současné filmy. Snímky, které představí divákům fascinující kontinent, jeho kulturu i společnost. Pilotní ročník Australského filmového festivalu proběhl v roce 2014 v Kině Lucerna a těšil se velké přízni diváků.

Last week we talked about the French film festival, that was on from the 18th till the 25th of November but today we’ll look at another festival. One that might prove to be a bit upside down. The Aussie film festival. Three lovers of Australia and good films decided to bring to Prague and Bratislava the best of the new films from Down under. Films that will show viewers this fascinating continent, it’s culture and people. The pilot year was in 2014 in the Cinema Lucerna and was enjoyed by many moviegoers.

Současné australské filmy se v české distribuci, televizi i na festivalech objevují minimálně a cílem festivalu je tuto skutečnost změnit. Na festivalu budete moci shlédnout komedii Poslední taxi do Darwinu, horor Babadook, Drama pod názvem Dcera či šestidílný seriál The Code, neboli Kód. Toť vše se odehrává v kině Lucerna od 26. listopadu až do 29. listopadu.

New Australian films don’t appear too often in Czech cinemas, televisions or festivals and the goal of the festival is to change this. You’ll be able to see the comedy Last Cab to Darwin, horror Babadook, Drama under the name of The Daughter and a six episode long series The Code. That all will be taking place in the cinema Lucerna from the 26th of November till the 29th.
