Vánoce se blíží a s nimi i vánoční trhy / Christmas is close and so also the Christmas festivals and markets begin
As you know here on Mish Mash we talk about interesting things in Czech republic and we do that in two languages. In English and in Czech. We had a few call to change that combination to French and Mongolian but for now we’re sticking to English and Czech.
Ať chceme či nechceme, Vánoce se blíží a s nimi vánoční výzdoby, reklamy a písně neustále nám znějící v uších. Ale také je již čas na jednu příjemnější okolnost, a to vánoční trhy. A tyto trhy se konají po celé republice, a tak si tu jich pár připomeneme. Tak například v Českém Krumlově od neděle 28. listopadu bude každou neděli na náměstí jiný program. 28. listopadu se bude rozsvěcet stromeček, 7. prosince zde bude Ježíškova pošta, 14. prosince se budou kolem stromu zpívat koledy atd. A samozřejmě nebude ale chybět ani trh se vším, co k němu patří.
If we want to or not, Christmas is coming and with it Christmas decorations, adverts and songs that sound constantly in our ears. But it is also time for a more enjoyable instance and that of Christmas markets. And these markets are all around the Republic and so we’ll mention a few of them. For instance in Český Krumlov every Sunday from this Sunday the 28th of November there will be a different programme at the Christmas market in the main square. So the 28th will be the day of the illumination of the tree, the 7th of December the Jesus post office is in town and the 14th of November will see carolling around the tree. Of course all the necessities of a Christmas market will not be forgotten.
V Karlových Varech vyroste nový trh u hotelu Thermal. Bude tam bruslení na ledě, vláček, kolotoč a spoustu dětských aktivit kolem obřího vánočního stromečku a to vše od 28. listopadu. Také zde bude vánoční gril, vystoupení a betlém, který též přidá na vánoční atmosféře. Ale nemusíte cestovat po trzích pouze po republice. Zavítat můžete třeba i do Drážďan nebo Norimberku, kde se konají každý rok po celé Evropě vyhlášené vánoční trhy.
A new market is scheduled for the Hotel Thermal Spa in Karlovy Vary. A Christmas ice-skating rink, train, carousel, and plenty of children's activities will take place around the giant Christmas tree and all this from the 28th of November. A Christmas grill, live performances, and nativity scene will add to the festival atmosphere. But you don’t have to limit yourself to the Republic. You can also visit for instance Dresden or Nuremberg, where every year there are renowned Christmas markets.
