Jan Halas - jury chairman
He graduated from the University of Journalism. He was an editor of the magazine Týdeník Rozhlas and by the end of March 2007 he was on a position head of literature editors' office of Czech radio 3 - Vltava. He is an author of many newspapers articles, essays, critics, polemics and short essays. He is also an author of hundreds of radio programmes and he worked together with the director Josef Melč on cycle entitled Čteme Písmo ("We Read Writing"). He is as well an author of a memory book Dodatky ("Amendments").
Eva Hudečková - jury member
She is an actress, playwright and writer. She studied dramatic art and since 1984 she has been an actress. She played many interesting characters in the theatre, TV programmes and films. Since 1986 she has devoted herself to literature, she has written several film subjects, scripts and stories. Czech radio produced dramatisation of her book entitled Bratříček Golem ("Little Brother Golem").She has written many more books that became popular.
Ervín Kukuczka - jury member
He is a poet, publicist and a priest of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. He studied a branch metallurgist - steelmaker and worked for several years in ironworks in Třinec. In 1960s he became an actor of the Prague theatre ORFEUS. After he had been forced to finish his theology studies, he worked in many worker positions. In the years 2002 -2004 he was a member of the Czech radio council.
Alfred Strejček - jury member
He is an actor, reciter, musician and scriptwriter. After he had studied musical art, he played in reputable Prague theatres. He is an author as well as an interpreter of a programme on J.A.Komenský entitled Vivat Comenius that has been already performed in three languages alternations in thirty countries. He co-operates with well-known artists - a guitarist Štěpán Rak, an actress Jika Molavcová, a musician Jiří Pavlica and many others. His work for Czech radio is significant; there are more than thousand radio programmes he participated at.
Ondřej Suchý - jury member
He is an editor, moderator, journalist, lyrist, draftsman and scriptwriter. He is originally an artistic carpenter. Before he became an assistant of production in the Czech television, he had worked as a decorator and an advertising designer. He is an author of nearly five hundred songs and more than twenty books. In the years 1991 - 2005 he worked in the Entertainment edition in Czech radio. Recently he has been working on and presenting two programmes entitled Padesátník ("Man in his 50s") and Nostalgické muzeum zábavy ("Nostalgic Museum of Entertainment").
