Franz (František) Benda

František Benda was a Bohemian Violinist and composer. He worked for much of his life at the court of Frederick the Great.

In 1763 Benda recorded his works as 80 violin sonatas, 15 concertos, some symphonies and a considerable number of capriccio's which, with the exception of a few violin sonatas, he had composed before 1751.
