From a diary of a voyage across the Sargasso Sea - Martin Hybler

6. červen 2017

The title From a diary of a voyage across the Sargasso Sea is a universal score that offers many instrumental groupings options. Therefore, it meets the requirements of chamber ensemble music in schools of music where the ensembles consist of various instruments.

Already two instruments can perform the composition; solo violin and piano (guitar) and as many as three more accompanying voices can be added. These accompanying voices (in the score they are marked in C, parts contain B flat transpositions) can be played on various instruments. The option with only one or two accompanying voices was also taken into account.

The universality of these accompanying voices comes from the range affinity of brass and string instruments. It is therefore possible to combine both regular groups of instruments and untraditional ensembles. The piano can be replaced by a guitar or both these instruments can simply play together.
