Pezzo concertante - Eduard Douša

The Pezzo concertante was commissioned by the Prague Spring festival as a compulsory composition for the second round of the festival French horn competition in 2013.
Written in June 2012 and based on the loosely sonata form, it proved to be quite a challenge due to its settings for a single one-voice instrument without piano accompaniment. The piece is dedicated to the outstanding Czech French hornist and Prague conservatory pedagogue Prof. Bedřich Tylšar.
