Romantic Pieces for Violin and Piano - Pavel Trojan

1. červen 2015

Romantic Pieces for Violin and Piano can be understood as a creative update of Romantic music style from the point of view of a composer of these days. There are five pieces that form a composition.

„However, it is possible to play them separately or choose only some of them. An instant impulse for creating the composition came after listening to one of Dvořák‘s Romantic Pieces recently. I felt like writing something similarly clear and limpid, or at least come close to it…“

Trojan’s compositions have been performed by leading musicians, such as České trio (Czech Trio), Kvarteto Apollon (Apollon Quartet), Ludmila Peterková, Jaroslav Svěcený, Jan Ostrý, Vojtěch Spurný, Modern String Quartet, Symfonický orchestr Českého rozhlasu (Symphonic Orchestra of Czech Radio) etc. at concerts both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The compositions have been repeatedly published on many CDs and many of his works have been recorded and played by Czech Radio and Czech Television. He is, among other, the author of the Missa solemnis dedicated to Charles University in Prague or the opera “There were five of us“. Trojan also composes scenic and film music.
