Rudolfinum Sonata for Brass Nonet - Jiří Pohnán

"Rudolfinum Sonate" was originally composed for a brass quintet in 2007 while Jiří Pohnán studied at Prague conservatory and it was one of his first chamber compositions.
The composition pays homage to a place – Rudolfinum – that he thought highly of and he loved to come to this Czech cultural "sanctuary". In 2010, a brass ensemble from Kroměříž commissioned a version for a brass nonet.
