Vision for Organ - Jiří Gemrot
When we recorded a profile CD with the organist Irena Chřibková, she asked me to compose a composition that she could perform at a festival in St Jacob‘s basilica.
The entrance into the beautiful church with an extraordinary organ made me try to express with music my own inner feelings and the feel at such an occasion. To show how the soul naturally calms down which leads to acknowledging human spirituality that is supposed to resist various temptations and intrigues so that upon leaving a church, the soul would feel exculpation and hope in this never-ending conflict.
