Kindernay is interested in the possibilities offered by the interactive combination of sound, image, and natural atmospheric processes. His work with visual programming applications includes video performances, interactive installations, intermedia and documentary projects, and musical compositions. He also creates instruments and software solutions that can be used for audiovisual production or during performances.

In this sense, his work is inextricably connected to research, software development, and instrument design. During realization, the actual work itself may lead towards different results. Another important aspect of Kindernay’s work is its environmental dimension. His works are extensively concerned with various forms of pollution both in terms of direct visualization (Art Pollution Kit, Camera Altera) and through the artist’s texts (the “vrhlt” series).
