A native of Israel, Sivan Eldar is a composer of orchestral, chamber and electroacoustic works, as well as sound installations. Sivan is based in San Francisco, where she is pursuing a PhD in composition and new media at the University of California, Berkeley. Her music has been performed across Europe and the US, at historic halls such as Tuscany’s Palazzo Mansi, Paris’ Salle Cortot, Odessa’s Philharmonic Theatre, and Boston’s Jordan Hall.
Sivan is spending the 2012-‐13 academic year as a Fulbright fellow at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where she is working on projects with the Impuls Academy, Spitfire Company, and Jewish Music Festival. She is thrilled to be creating a new sound work for Czech Radio’s rAdioCUSTICA.
