[01] Jiří Adámek: Tic Tic Politic

The political merry-go-round grinds up reality and tears it into meaningless shreds. Politics is a mechanism which transforms Man into Politician; it cannot be easily changed, let alone controlled. Not that we ordinary mortals are any better off. We too, are tossed about; Man becomes Client, a machine for using the globe.

This piece was inspired by the marasmic urban whirlpool, by books on sociology, by Austrian poet Ernst Jandl and by a personal encounter with French composer Jean-Christoph Feldhandler.

This radio version is based on a stage project created at the Alfred ve Dvoře theater.
