It's back to the everything-in-one-place format this week, with a global tour of alternative hits from everywhere. Some Bongo Flava, some nueva cumbia, a couple of '70s West African funk jams , a few recurring Friday Ripple favourites (K'naan, Dry Yai, Bisso Na Bisso, Lumi, Mexican Institute of Sound, Matisyahu), loads of hip hop and loads of electro.

Because the last two weeks have been 100% South African music with loads of interviews, this week there's very little talking, and nothing from South Africa. (Yeah, there's a bit of Hugh Masekela into the mix, but "Afro Beat Blues" was recorded in Nigeria with a Ghanaian band, so I'm calling that a West African release.)
