Východiska: Umění pocházi ze hněvu

Debutový album More vydali VVhile najskôr digitálne v decembri, ale už tento mesiac sa chystá jeho vinylová podoba na americkom vydávateľstve Dirtcult Records a nemeckom Twintoe Records. Podľa vlastných slov sa zvuk albumu postupne vyvíjal od agresívnej a noizovej podoby, ktorou sa kapela prezentuje na koncertoch, až ku takmer popu.

Aj napriek tomu, že na albume zaznejú tracky, ktoré siahajú od priamočiarého a energetického punkrocku cez takmer krautrockové songy, až po nostalgické shoegazove kúsky, je album konzistentny najmä vďaka svojmu analogovému a noizovému zvuku a Andrijovej práci s gitarou. Podľa kapely sú tracky o každodennom živote, emóciach a politike. Tématicky drží album pohromade koncept, ktorý sa odráža aj na jeho názve.

Podľa kapely je srbská hardcore a punková scéna momentálne pomerne izolovaná. Pre kapely z regiónu je ľahké preraziť v ex-juhoslávskom priestore, ale dostať sa za hranice je náročné bez PR manažéra alebo bookingového agenta. Album More nájdete na bandcampovej stranke kapely vvhile.bandcamp.com. V máji tohto roku chystajú VVhile európske turné, počas ktorého by radi zavýtali aj do Prahy.

The Serbian band VVhile has first released a 7'' Vanity EP in 2012. After almost three years they are back with their debut LP More. The band, whose sound oscillates between punkrock, shoegaze and pop was started by musicians Andrija and Stevan after they left their former matkrock and hardcorepunk projects in 2011.

VVhile have released their debut More first digitally in December, but already this month a vinyl version is gonna be released on the US-based Dirtcult Records and the German Twintoe Records. According to VVHILE, the sound of the LP has gradually evolved from a more aggressive and noisy sound that the band presents on their live shows into almost pop.

Even though that the LP contains tracks that range from an straightforward and energetic punkrock, through almost krautrockesque songs up to melancholic shoegaze, it is consistent owing to its analogue and noisy sound and Andrija's guitar work. According to the band, the tracks speak about issues of daily life, emotions and politics. Thematically the LP is held together by a concept that is also reflected in the LP's name.

According to VVhile the Serbian hardcore and punk scene is pretty isolated these days. They say it is easy for bands to breakthrough within the ex-yu space, but to get outside of Serbian borders is pretty hard without a PR manager or a booking agent.
