Zdena Kloubová, soprano
Soprano Zdena Kloubová belongs to prominent Czech singers. Her repertoire includes more than twenty lead coloratura and lyrical roles in operas. She has also performed soprano parts in cantatas and oratorios as well as songs. Her recordings include more than twenty compact discs for Supraphon, Unicorn, Decca etc.
The artist has regularly given guest performances on opera and concert stages abroad, including Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain and the USA. She has co-operated with such renowned conductors as Sir Charles Mackerras, Serge Baudo, Gaetano Delogu, Kurt Masur, Aldo Ceccato, Jiří Bělohlávek, Martin Turnovský as well as with such prominent orchestras as Czech Philharmonic, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Prague Philharmonia, MDR Orchester Leipzig, Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Orchestra London, or Chicago Sinfonietta.
Her beautiful voice can be often heard by audiences of music festivals in Prague, Brno, Milan, Edinburgh, Villach, Merano and elsewhere. In 2004 she made her debut at the prestigious festival BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London (Glagolitic Mass, conducting Kurt Masur).
Since 1996, she has been regularly singing in Japan, where she has become known through her Susanna and Donna Elvira in Mozart´s operas and also as soloist with the Prague Philharmonia and in chamber Christmas concerts with organ.
