Lukáš Kořínek, bassoon
Lukáš Kořínek was born in Liberec in 1975. He studied at the Teplice Conservatory under Jiří Spěvák, and at the Music Faculty of the Prague’s Academy of Performing Arts under professors František Herman and Jiří Seidl.
In the years 1994–96, Kořínek was with the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and later briefly with the Prague Philharmonia. Since 1998 he has been first bassoon with the Prague Chamber Orchestra.
He also performs chamber music from time to time, and has been a full member of the Pražské dechové trio (Prague Brass Trio) since 2009.
He also regularly appears as a soloist with Virtuosi di Praga, the Teplice Philharmonic, the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and other groups.
Since 2003 Lukáš Kořínek has been teaching bassoon at the Jan Neruda music-oriented grammar school in Prague.
