The first two nestlings hatched out in the Pilsen nest on Saturday.Others will probably follow
in the next few days or even hours. | | | Feeding | | Incubation time took 32 days. First chick was born early morning and the other in the afternoon. Falcon female
Ann warms them up most the time so it may seem there are still two eggs only in the nest. She sometimes gets up to
feed them the food brought by the male. The newborns will remain in the nest alone after a few days when they get
their thermoregulation developed. After that, they won't move off the nest at least for next 14 days, so the camera
will provide detailed pictures.
Even if we don't know their sexes, we start "a competition" about choosing the most suitable names for the
babies. Suggestions please send to
sokoli@rozhlas.cz; the authors of the winning names will get CD from
Radioservis publishing. Tyna, the Prague female, still remains alone and there's no doubt she won't nest this year. |
