Watching the nest by cameras and direct checks in Prague streets confirmed a very sad fact - Tyna has remained alone for the whole spring. The male Tycho disappeared - probably died at the end of the winter. Tyna shew interest in the nestnig box at Tynsky tower and lowered a nesting pit there. Her last visit was on 1st May at 19:10. Since then she has not appeared. Since the beginning of May, the right (non-nesting) tower of Tynsky church has been being repaired! This repair is necessary. The question is whether this time of spring... Tyna sometimes appears at the tops of st. Havels' towers. It is late for nesting now. Are nestings in the following years in danger? Without a partner, nestlings, and scared away off the nest! The Prague nesting may vanish! City nests are quite unique and continue by individual birds who might replace each other successively. If Tyna dies or finds a more quiet place... |
