"On Saturday 15th of June at 7.30pm, I noticed two kestrel hatches at the Czech Radio building?s nest. You did not mention it in program Meteor in the morning so it is probably news..." This was the first time David Schovanek noticed the movement of the hatches at the nest. Today ? Monday 17 of June 2002 ? the kestrel female left the nest for food at 9am. Ina while she returned with a prey. It was a big mouse. This moment the hatches, so far nearly uncountable, raised. They began to pull their little bills up to the adult female. We counted four hatches so far. One egg still lies in the nest untouched. The hatches got fed and after a few minutes became weary till they remained filled and still. The adult kestrel then covered them a felt asleep herself. |
