This week, two exhibitions about primates have been launched in Moscow.

On May 19, 2009, the Czech Culture Centre in Moscow launched an exhibition called The Revealed Goes On featuring large-format photographs that illustrate the Revealed project's three-year history and unveil its future plans. The public in Moscow could learn about the project already last year at a book fair in autumn and in related events held at the Czech Centre that attracted great attention. The current exhibition is also being held upon the centre's initiative.

The exhibition was launched by primatologist Marina Vancatova who gave a presentation with video screening. She highlighted the great contribution of the project to primatological research.

Another exhibition not to be missed for all those who are interested in the life and abilities of primates is called Apes Paint, that opened on May 20, 2009 at Moscow's Darwin Centre.

The exhibition presents drawings by chimpanzees, gorillas and orang-utans from five Czech zoos. The unique exhibition shows that the roots of specific human traits, such as speech, culture, and art can be traced to primates. This exhibition, too, was launched by Marina Vancatova, who held a lecture on the topic.
