Marek Zdansky interrupted his narration about keeping gorillas and went to check the situation in the pavilion. He had to make sure the pavilion is cleaned and the gorillas are served their morning snack. His mobile phone kept ringing all the time, which meant I kept him from work. Yet he was willing to continue answering my questions. This time, we talked about breeding gorillas in captivity and the future of the Prague zoo gorilla troop.

Marek Zdansky is an wonderful person to talk to. He knows his work to the least detail and apparently loves his job. He is also quite talkative, which should be regarded as something positive, because he is extremely knowledgeable and always talks to the point. The gorilla pavilion of the Prague zoo has turned into one large construction site. Renovation of the visitor pathway inside the pavilion has been finished but more construction works are underway to improve the outer enclosure and the vicinity of the pavilion.
