On October 14, 2008, The Revealed project launched its own channel on YouTube, one of the most popular websites of the world.
YouTube, the world's biggest video server, boasts over 75 million visits a month. It has been among the world wide web's top 10 servers for quite some time. In the first month of 2008 alone, 79 million users watched more than 3 billion videos. Lately, it has been trying to make the content more accessible for non-English speaking users. In early September, the server introduced support for subtitles in videos and on October 9, it launched a localised Czech service. The Czech language version includes not only translation of texts but also a new homepage at www.youtube.cz, which provides more room for Czech videos. This is another step in removing language barriers between users.
Czech Radio took the opportunity and followed other media organisations to the YouTube world. We offer The Revealed project there, broadening the scope of web-based instruments for our audience. You can visit the project's channel at http://cz.youtube.com/user/ProjektOdhaleni. It features the complete first series of The Revealed magazines, other interesting videos are in the pipeline. You can watch videos, rate them, and share with other users of the YouTube community, and subscribe to automatic notification of newly posted videos.
