Hi, so this is me, Tatu. In Swahili, my name means "Third". I am now the youngest gorilla in the Prague Zoo; I was born on 30th May 2007 in the middle of a dark night. But so many people watched my entry into this world, that I can't count them yet.
My mum is called Kijivu, and surely you know my sister Moja. With me, noone knows yet if I am boy or girl. Even Uncle Marek doesn't, because I hide in my mum's arms all the time, where I feel best.
Well, it is warm here and the food is nearby. Sometimes Aunt Shinda cradles me - she treats me like her own. Moja tries to tease me, but mum watches me like a hawk so Moja won't harm me.
My dad, Richard, doesn't play with me now much. He just makes grumpy faces. Moja told me that it took some time for him to open up and begin to tickle and tease her.
Look what names people wanted to call me, and the name that out of all of these got chosen. When you finish looking around here, come and see me live right in our pavilion. I am looking forward to it!
