I nearly missed a phone call because of the sound of my car's engine and audio playing Bob Marley when driving along the Prague-Carlsbad highway. But I did eventually hear the ringing. It was Franta Pojer calling me from western Mongolia, some 400 kilometres west of Ulaanbaatar. Yesterday, our team managed to capture another black stork and equip it with a transmitter. That means that two thirds of the mission are accomplished - within less than a week in Mongolia! A third stork should come from an area some 200 kilometres further to the west.
