[03] Jaromír Typlt: Strange friends

Besides writing, Jaromír Typlt also performs his texts on the stage through so-called “mutated authorial reading”, for which he himself records the sound background. In 2005, his text entitled Strange Friends was short-listed for the Czech national slampoetry competition finals. The work has been intended for live performance from thevery beginning; it was only natural, then, that it should be recorded as a radiophoniccomposition: besides his own voice, Typlt uses modified sounds of the prepared guitarand a small clay statue.
